MY TRUE IDENTITY
***MY TRUE IDENTITY***
Dictionary meaning:
Identity is the qualities, beliefs, personality, looks, and/or expressions that make a person (self-identity as emphasized in psychology) or group (collective identity as pre-eminent in sociology)... Other aspects of identity, such as racial, religious, ethnic, occupational, etc.
A person's name and other facts about who they are their reputation, characteristics, etc. of a person or organization that makes the public think about them in a particular way.
What will happen if one's identity is missing?
An identity crisis is a developmental event that involves a person questioning their sense of self or place in the world.... According to Erikson, an identity crisis is a time of intensive analysis and exploration of different ways of looking at oneself.
Many of us think we know who we are, but we truly don't. Maybe physically, we can say the name of our father, but we can't say where our father comes from.
Lions are so perfect in a way that they are different from other animals. From a young age, they are trained to think like lions and never to compromise themselves.
No matter how hungry a lion is (small or big), it will never eat grass, and this is because they know who they are.
We human beings have forgotten our source. We think of only our physical being but forget the other part of us (spiritual).
Imagine a lion outside the PRIDE. It has made itself vulnerable to the animal kingdom and can be killed or hurt. But if a lion is inside the PRIDE and another carnivorous animal comes in to attack, it will definitely be killed.
This world is a market place where we all come to buy and sell. You are either buying or selling, but remember that one can get lost or hurt, and this is the basis as to why I want to talk about our identity as human beings.
Back in secondary school in Oshodi (Mafoluku Senior Grammar School), there was a lady in my class who was pretty and had a nice shape (we have so many pretty ladies in my school and they really can make you not concentrate), but this lady is always getting more attention than another fellow in the class, and she's got more confidence that nothing can happen to her. We all get punished in school, but she is saved and I thought it was her beauty, but again I noticed she isn't the smartest, nor is she the prettiest, and yet she is always saved.
One day, I asked a few friends close to her, and to my greatest surprise, I was told her mother was also a staff member of the same school, a senior teacher for the matter (it's called GODFATHERISM).
As children of God, we always forget that we also have GODFATHERISM in God Almighty. Few of us have IDENTITY with our source (GOD) and have gotten ourselves into offices or positions where our certificates aren't worth it over many who entered the same interview with us and have even more than the required qualifications.
A graduate (banking and finance) who applied for an Executive Trainee (ET) during the interview, the Managering Director came in and was happy to see him and, without further introspection, gave him another open position (Debuty Manager DM) which he had no knowledge of. He got that position because he knows who's son he is: the son of God who renders help to others. During the RCCG Holy Ghost Congress, he assisted an unknown man by watching the toilet and assisting this man, unaware that the man was a Director of GTBANK and a worker in RCCG.
When you know the son of who you are, then you start exhibiting the same manners your father does. You talk and do everything the same way, and your father will be proud to call you his son.
CHALLENGES TO FACE WHEN ONE'S IDENTITY IS MISSING
1. Favors will be hard to get in this cruel world.
2. Enemies will prey on you.
3. You will be working like an elephant and eating like an ant. 4. One will only be an ordinary human being.
5. One will always be working as a maid instead of working as a king.
ADVANTAGES OF CONFIRMING ONE'S IDENTITY:
1. You will work like ants and eat like elephants.
2. Things will fall into place easily.
3. Enemies will be afraid to come near you.
4. You will work and dine with kings and queens and not with ordinary men.
5. Favours will come in from all cardinal points.
N.B
My people (Yorubas) do say, "Only a child who sees his father and spreads his hands that the father carries, but the one who sees his father and refuses to open his hands, the father ignores." God is ever waiting for as many that will come and be identified with Him as their Father, and all you hate to do is accept him by confessing your sins and choosing to follow the instructions in His holy book which He has given us. Only then can we receive His blessings.
