***THE RIGHT CHANGE IN POWER*** 

Dictionary meaning of change; 

1.

make (someone or something) different; alter or modify.

"both parties voted against proposals to change the law"

2.

replace (something) with something else, especially something of the same kind that is newer or better; substitute one thing for (another). 

Change is also having an effect that is strong enough to change someone's life: a life-changing decision/moment. 

Change is basically a variation in the common way of doing things. Whenever people perform a task in a certain way, they get accustomed to them. They develop methods which they can implement routinely to achieve these tasks. Any variation in these methods is nothing but change. 

The kind of change I want to talk about here is that of power and position/office.

Most times, when a good man finds himself in a position or office that mostly has to do with money, it tends to change their personalities because money is a spirit of it's own which can make a wife/husband kill a spouse or brother/sister kill their siblings or parents or family. 

Take political power for an example;

Each ruling party worked hard to get someone in based on their agenda which is mostly for them to have control and make some primary decisions personal and not to the general public but most times it changes because the ruler might even decide in his tenure to betray their corrupt party for only himself. 

Let me share a quick true story... 

In an organization there was a regional leader who was loved by many and also hated by a few under his leadership. Based on his work he had majority voting for him as a good leader and even in his own committee. Also, a few were working against him because he doesn't condone corruption like the previous leader who allowed them eat from what was supposed to go round to the junior workers. 

In a far away district under his region, there was an issue with the leaders there and he called the leader asking why he had not just removed a member of his committee but also terminated his appointment from the organization. Investigation happened and he found out that this staff who also was a member of the committee spoke out to his leader on wrong done to a junior staff they were suppose to help and that got him fired. 

So the regional chairman re-employed him to his own district and he never knew this man before now but told the leader of the committee in his own district to bring him back under his own committee.

The chairman in this district where the regional is is very corrupt and wanted badly the regional office and also wanted control over every district so that he can embezzle money for himself. He turned the man the regional brought in from another district against the regional himself and this man was no longer loyal to the regional because they were all sure their leader will become the new regional. 

A year passed and it's time for re-election for the office of the regional chairman down to the district chairman and committee. The regional chairman retains his seat and after six months election for the smaller offices took place and many were changed but the district where the regional was, the election for the office of chairman is really going to be a tough one just because they know oga at the top will see everything done there unlike other districts. The chairman knew he lost the regional position then the young man from other district was no use to him anymore as his purpose was to spy on the regional chairman who brought him in and so he was voted with zero while the chairman made his most loyal staff the new chairman but the regional chairman refused to sign that in and asked for a just and fair election. 

The regional went around asking the lower staff who they see fit for the job among all committees and majority picked the newly transferred staff. The regional called him and told him "I brought you in and you worked against me, I taught of bringing in someone from outside but people said you can do this" he then appointed the stranger the chairman of the district and told him he doesn't need thank you or closeness from him but all he needs from him is to be that person who fought power for a staff even though he knew it would backfire on him...

That is the kind of change we need in this country, someone who will set aside his own personal grudges, emotions, anger and make a change that will better the nation or company. 

A good and positive change will heal the world and not crush it while a bad and negative change will only build corruption the more and make this hard to correct. 

The bible talks about the pure in spirit will see God (Matt 5) love is all it takes for one to be pure and if we have 50% love in this nation or organization things will definitely become better. Let change start from our homes not the political kind of change (APC, PDP etc) but a God fearing kind of change that makes all things right and good, yes many will hate you but "a good name is better than many riches"

CHANGE is a very good thing because it's when it's right is right "CHANGE BEGINS WITH ME" don't wait for those in higher positions to start it, let them see you do it even when you are hurt put the right amount of selflessness into your game.
