WHY SHOULD I CONTINUE

***WHY SHOULD I CONTINUE???*** 

Crazy things we Nigerians do to make a living in this corrupt country. A typical example is someone helping others to carry heavy load across the same express way where over 30 or more amateurs/professionals in road crossing have died instantly just to be paid 200 naira. 

God has kept us through all our struggles and hustles, in times of pain and happiness, worries and many more. 

When I lost my brother mid year 2021, I thought it was over for me and my family. Mum had lost her favourite son and gist partner. I saw my family and I struggle through that pain even till now, we still miss him. There is no passing day he doesn't cross my mind and sadness cripples in. My comfort however is the hope in Christ Jesus which cannot be explained to a canal mind.  

Death isn't the worst thing in life because many families have experienced  a situation where they would pray for death for thier loved ones. This is not because they are really ready to let go or because of hospital bills or shame of whatever form but because they believe that death would bring more relieve and lasting peace to the loved one instead of the unrelieving pain they go through. 

Many families are constantly reminded of the debt before them with no roof over their heads. Some have had to give up their children to slavery in the name of working as helps in homes they do not know thier fate. 

I noticed many young youths sleeping outside Pepsi and Coca-Cola even Chivita gate day and night just searching for work and it makes me feel ungrateful for complaining of how small my earning is. 

If you think you are passing through the worst, wait till someone else tells their story. I am not saying yours isn't enough to be sad about but other people's stories are just hmmmm... 

Permit me to say this sentence like this; "IS IT NOT BETTER TO HAVE A DEAD MEMBER OF THE FAMILY THAN TO SEE THEM MAD AND WALKING ABOUT THE STREETS OF NIGERIA?" God forbid us having any of that.

N.B.

This is just a short exhortation to let us know that YES we are not there yet but as long as our faith is in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit and as long as we are alive and also have friends to help point us to God's path, there is always hope for a better tomorrow. 

Don't relent in prayers and praises, don't ever think the worst of yourself, don't ever think because you are facing all that you are facing God isn't there for you or that He doesn't care about what you are going through. 

Any of these scriptures can help;

It’s far too easy to get lost and discouraged in the whirlwind of life’s events. However, God loves us unconditionally, despite the fact that we fail Him everyday. The best comfort comes from above.

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. 

3. Isaiah 40:31

But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. 

4. John 16:33

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world. 

5. Revelation 21:4

He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever. 

6. John 13:7

Jesus replied, “You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will.” 

7. Psalm 93:4

But mightier than the violent raging of the seas, mightier than the breakers on the shore—the Lord above is mightier than these! 

8. Isaiah 46:4

I will be your God throughout your lifetime—until your hair is white with age.I made you, and I will care for you.I will carry you along and save you.
