***THE POWER OF CHOICE***

Life is like a journey, and we are the travellers.

On this journey, there are so many stops we have to make just so that we can become great in life, but many of us makes the wrong choice while others either make the right ones or stay guessing if they made the right one or the wrong one. 

"Choice" is an interesting word. God has given us the will power to make choices in our lives and every decision made is yours, good or bad. 

In both religious books (Bible and Quran):

God gave the Israelites the power to choose their own path, instead of them chosing the way of God and walk 40 days but they chose the difficult one and travelled 40 years. 

We start up as kids to becoming teens, then young adults to adults, then we become old. At every growth we have to make choice in what we want to become in life.

As kids, we just never want to stop having fun, but then we have to make a stop to become a teen. Then teens make choices of what to study, decide if they want relationships (boyfriend and girlfriend) and also struggle with religion and decisions like career path, having sex or not etc... 

**ACADEMICS**

Teens with peer groups, mostly find themselves in the wrong class or careers then later begin struggling to make it in life. Same thing happens to the Adults. We desire what our friends and colleagues or mentor wants which is good for them and neglect what we want in the process. 

If we have believed in ourselves we won't be in such position and many would have wanted what we have instead of we wanting their own lifestyle. 

N.B. JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE TWINS DOESN'T MEAN YOU WILL PROSPER THE SAME WAY 

"WHAT IS GOOD FOR TAIYE MIGHT NOT BE GOOD FOR KEHINDE" 

**MARRIAGE/COURTSHIP**

We do have lots of broken homes in this life only because many of us confused DESIRE with WANT; 

DESIRE: When you have what you so desire, you will get happiness and you won't want it to stop, but it will eventually . 

For example: You have a Samsung A20 device then Samsung A51 launched, your desire will be to get it and you work so hard and saved up much then got it. 2 weeks later Samsung launched Samsung S21, this will be your new desire and your love for Samsung A51 will gradually die. 

Many relationships are like that, and that is why it doesn't amount to anything but breakups in future. 

E.G.

Relationship is like someone who lives in a small town and dating the most beautiful or handsome or the wealthiest person in town. The day you leave that community and stay in a big city you will see people who are ten times more beautiful and wealthier than that your partner in the town. what do you think will happen next...??? 

WANT: This is simply the ability to be able to know for sure that what you have is what is needed for you growth. This is having the resources and power to have every other thing but won't let go of that one thing you have because it means the world to you and you can't afford to lose it. 

With this belief, no matter the 10 times better versions of your partner, as long as you know this partner you have is giving you all that is needed to be great or better, you will stay and make a home. Do not be deceived, you will never stop being tempted by desires, but if your WANT (certainty, contentment, satisfaction etc)is greater, you won't fall into it at all. 

Be contented or okay with what you have and pray to God to help you.

N.B.

In life there will be mistakes, but try harder not to jump into making a lifetime decision or choices like relationships, marriage, academic etc because coming out of them is times 10 harder and it takes only the grace of God to pull through in the end.
