***THE LITTLE THINGS OF LIFE*** 

Human wants are so much and it is almost impossible to achieve all no matter how rich you are.

Our desires as humans most times not allow us see the little daily blessings God bestows upon us because we are focused on the big things of life. We ignore our million little miracles.

**Some years ago, I was walking along Ikeja towards Coca-Cola and I came across a crippled man dragging himself on the floor bcos he has no legs, I have never given a begger money before but for this man, I felt I had to; 

Me: Hello sir! good afternoon, please take this 100 naira 

Begger: Smiled! Why? 

Me: I hmmm... (speechless) 

Begger: You think am a begger because I am dragging on the floor right??? Hmmmm... well I am not, i'm going to work, I make shoes and my shop is right there. 

I was so embarrassed by what happened untll I got home.

We are fit, with no physical issues and yet we complain so much of things we don't have and fail to thank God for walking here and there. 

**There is a rich woman with nice job and good pay that one will say her certificates doesn't require. She is sick and she pays 30 thousand naira every month for a particular drug just to stay alive every year. Some people pay more than that for medical care on daily basics. 

We are alive, we hardly visit hospitals for medical care and we still don't know that it is something big enough to say "thank you Lord". 

**There was a flood and everyone were crossing the gutter climbing the plank that was put across the gutter is very deep, you have to wait turns before you cross. A guy on white shirt black trousers was next to climb but just when he was to place his first leg on the plank something happened:

Some children playing soccer played the moody ball up and it stained his shirt. He was so angry and said; 

Guy: You kids are mad and stupid for you have ruined my life for I can't go for the interview this dirty. 

Kids: We are so sorry sir please forgive us we beg you 

The young man angrily said "God never liked me and this is a prove because the opportunity I have to get a job he can't even keep me safe" he then turned back and put his earpiece on and started going home and also never looked back. 

Just because he didn't look back, he didn't know what God has done for him: the next person to cross after him only took a step and the plank broke and the person fell into the gutter and died instantly.

This he doesn't know, he was busy complaining of missed interview not knowing God has just saved his life. 

** The same road you follow to and fro work daily, you are always at the bus-stop 5pm but something happened you trouser tore and you had to wait for a tailor to sow it before leaving. You were embarrassed because the trouser tore and few ladies saw it but you never knew that something happened at the exact spot you do sit and exactly 5pm you do, someone was shot and died instantly. 

God has always helped us in many ways, our going in and out, in accommodation, food etc

There's this saying among my tribe people; 

"Someone who has head has no cap, another has cap but no head, someone has legs but no shoes, another has shoes but no legs" 

Just take a look at what the whole world passed through during the Covid_19 pandemic till now and all hardship in the world, this is enough to say thank you Lord

A songwriter said;

"Some have food but they cannot eat

Some can eat but they have no food

We have food and we can eat

Glory be to Jah Jehovah,

Some of them fine but got no spouse

Some got spouse but them no fine

You got spouse and yet you fine

Glory be to Jah Jehovah

I say some got front but got no back

Some got back but they got no front

You get front and you get back

N.B. 

We should learn to appreciate the little things of life that God does, the air we breath, walking, good health, the ability to see and talk, run and jump, the grace to sleep and wake etc. When we appreciate these little things around it opens doors for bigger ones to come in. 

Instead of lamenting, why not think of all God has done for you in the past 365 days, 24/7 since birth and say thank you Lord.
