**EFFECT OF TRUST***

TRUST CAN GET YOU KILLED, BUT.....

Do you know; when trust goes wrong, it can lead to catastrophic outcomes which includes depression, suicide..and even murder???

I have seen and heard the horrors that comes with trust. Trust is like pulling out  your heart and giving it to someone to keep, knowing fully well that this person can do whatever they want with it, be it good or bad. Yet you just give them the benefit of the doubt. 

This is a different post from the previous ones, and I want to know the extent to which one can trust or not trust.

Who should be trusted? 

Who should one trust often? 

To what extent should one trust? 

When should one stop trusting? 

These are questions in the heart of almost every person on earth when it comes to trust and we have no answers to these questions. Why is that??? 

There are categories of people one is generally expected to trust. 

Examples; Family, friends, Spouse, Pastor/Imam etc 

 

1. Family; 

Family, generally is that category most people believe you should put all your trust in, and it's true, to an extent. It is also known that family can kill one's dream faster than outsiders. Wife murders husband for another man, children plots against father for his will, siblings fights each other for properties and money etc. Now, can family members be trusted or not??? 

2. Pastor/Imam; 

A spiritual leader is highly respected and trusted by their followers more often than family. They are considered the mouthpiece of the Almighty and are not to be joked with. Amongst the categories of people listed earlier, they have gained more trust from people around them than the other categories because of their power and status. But, we shouldn't forget they also are human beings with blood flowing through their veins. Some spiritual leaders have scammed their trusted followers, slept with followers spouses, done so much wrong etc Now, should a Pastor/Imam be trusted or not?? 

3. Spouse; 

When married, it is said you and your spouse are one and both of you are supposed to be best of friends at all times for this will make the home strong. Not trusting your Spouse can cause lots of issues at home but it doesn't mean trusting them will complete their desires. Desire is something that makes another man/woman go out behind their Spouse to lay with another. Maybe because they get pleasured by this other person better than what they get with their partners. This causes problems for the Spouse and homes are destroyed. Now, should or shouldn't the Spouse be trusted??? 

4. Friends; 

Friends are sweet and beautiful, friends will and can even die for you as the case may be. Friends are always there when no one else is, even when family isn't available. We should also bear in mind that friends can as well sell, kill and plot evil against you because of jealousy, envy etc. Now, should or shouldn't Friends be trusted??? 

I could go on and on with different categories of people and the list will be inexhaustible. I will love to show us how bad it is to trust in people and how wise it will be never to trust in them. 

BUT; 

We should know that TRUST means LOVE cos' you can't trust who you don't love. Not trusting means not loving, my opinion is there should be a limit to how we TRUST & LOVE people. 

For if we fail to trust in family, friends, pastors, imams, Spouse etc we will miss out in so many benefits we can get from them. Different categories of people out there who could do anything for you  cos' they love, believe so much and will sacrifice for you even when you don't deserve it. I have seen friends go over limits for friends, pastors/imam sacrifice a lot for members, family and Spouse do craze things for love ones. 

N.B. 

Don't use the excuse of a few bitter experiences of people who hurt you when you trusted them, to place limits to how you trust other people. Also be watchful when you trust people, not in doubt but for security purposes, so you don't hurt yourself. 

Experience is still the best teacher.
